In my unit we are finally getting notified that they are going to deny our Religious Accommodation Requests for the covid vaccine, on the grounds that we are not deployable assets without it. However, if you have HIV that is fine. We can still appeal it at this point, but I do not have it in me to continue to fight to stay in an organization that I no longer have trust in my leadership or confidence in the mission.

Man, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Less than 1% of people serve in the military here in the USA. I also just got out for family reasons. I wasn’t in long enough for my religious accommodation to be denied.
The Army will still be the Army without you and they would never think twice about sending you overseas or making new medical requirements to stay in. I’m still unemployed after getting out, but I know if worst comes to worst I can just use the GI Bill to take care of mg family while I get the skills necessary for a new career. I’m a mediocre pilot who is waiting for the airlines to bleed dry all of their healthy pilots before I even try to break into the industry.
