By sheer synchronicity Clif high posted a letter from Congress library showing a handwritten letter written by Abraham Lincoln mentioning "the eyes of that species of giants whose bones fill the mounds of America have gazed on Niagara as ours do now"

I just happened to catch it on telegram, looks darn interesting. There could be common knowledge things, that if you make sure is erased from books over the years, the society as a whole will forget it. Crazy.
