Great video! The P-47 was an outstanding fighter! One of the things that set it apart was its air-cooled engine. It could be riddled with bullets and keep on going.

There used to be a saying among pilots during WWII, "If you want to impress your girl, have your picture taken in a P-51, Mustang. If you want to make it home to your girl, fly a P-47, Thunderbolt." Both planes were invaluable to the allied victory.
