Big cardiac stress plus they tend to be dehydrated plus trying to save money on electricity. It has been over 114F here several times this month and a few people keel over every time, mostly the homeless. Who are not vaccinated too much.
I think it is. Weather seems to have been on some kind of extreme in certain countries, ever since the pandemic. Hot and cold weather. 40c is the most abnormal temperature for the UK! Would never expect it to suddenly happen like that.

I was in Greece around '98 when they had 45C temps and lots of fires and people weren't dying in their hundreds.
40 degrees Celsius is only 104 degrees Fahrenheit though.
