Not to be argumentative but.. I agree way too much of the church leadership are corrupt, as are way too many in government positions.. They both grieve and anger me.. The first no more make Christian values BS than the second make the Constitution BS … They both are blatant evidence that evil people in both the church and the government need to go down.. and soon !!
And as far as the label of liberal instead of socialist … that’s a very good point and I agree with you.. might even want to expand it to communists.. may well be more accurate !!

I think you and I are on the same page my friend.. you’ve obviously done more digging on the differences between socialism and communism than I, and I admire that.. I had a man I respected when I was young that would say he wasn’t interested in discussing RELIGION but was excited about discussing Christianity.. ( religion allowed the manipulation of Gods truth for control where true Christianity was a Personal relationship with the author of the Real Truth) .. He would say absolute power corrupted absolutely
