The irony goes further. King James did not encourage a translation of the Bible in order to enlighten the common people. His sole intent was to deny them the marginal notes of the Geneva Bible.
This is a lie^^. Have you ever tried to read the Geneva Bible? James commissioned this KJV to be a translation that could be read by a common man in his own language.
There is a better than even chance that James was the product of adultery
Found the liberals^^. And this has to do with what?
King James I, among his many other faults, preferred young boys to adult women. He was a flaming homosexual.
This is another lie^^. Try to prove it. You can't. Twenty paragraphs into this sham and all we've accomplished so far is smearing the King.
History has it that James was also a great coward.
James was a sadist as well as a sodomite: he enjoyed torturing people.
In short, King James I was the kind of despicable creature honorable men loathed, Christians would not associate with, and the Bible itself orders to be put to death
This is the most chickenshit thing I've ever read in my life. It came straight from the vatican, no doubt about that.
Here is the prelude to the KJV, I'll leave a couple quotes for the clown that posted this, see for yourself what other Christians thought of this man.
To the most high and mightie Prince, James by the grace of God King of Great Britaine, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, &c. The translators of The Bible, wish Grace, Mercie, and Peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1611 King James Bible great and manifold were the blessings (most dread Soveraigne) which Almighty GOD, the Father of all Mercies, bestowed upon us the people of ENGLAND, when first he sent your Majesties Royall person to rule and raigne over us.
I'm new to Bible study, and have found it beneficial to use multiple translations, to compare contrast. Also to understand the historical events around the translations. I know that many Puritans used the Geneva Bible because of the margin notes aimed at the common people, so I've been using this version, have found it helpful.

Well yeah I mean what are they going to say about the dude in the prelude he commissioned them to write?

Starting at page 16 this has a completely different history if the king James translation process, and they were no flunkys. Interesting
