I live in the area and this is total BS. The landfill fire was the day before, (July 16) and was in an area that had construction debris, per local news KTVQ https://www.ktvq.com/news/local-news/trash-fire-at-billings-landfill-puts-up-large-smoke-column I have confirmed with people I know that work at Walmart and others who shop at the Costco that none of this is true.
