Heroic actions of a Lafayette Citizen saves the lives of several children!

This is the newsletter from the Police Department on the events of what happened that night. The accounts from the Nicholas (hero) when he saved the children.

I wondered where the parents were, but someone in the comments said they were on a date night and the 18 yr old was babysitting, that's why the kids were home alone. Don't know how true that is, it's not in the police newsletter.

The 5 kids ages ranging from 1 - 18 yrs old.

25 yr old Nicholas Bostic, after saving 4 of the kids, they told him a 6 yr old was still inside the house, so he rushed back in to find her. He looked upstairs where the other kids were but couldn't find her, he had to go back downstairs where the smoke was totally black, crawled around the floor because he couldn't see anything through the black smoke, finding the 6 yr old by her cries, then couldn't find his way back to the back door, but did find the stairs, so he went upstairs, broke a window with his fist and jumped from the second story with her in his arms saving the child. This guy is a hero!
