As painful as it’s been since the current resident of the White House showed up, I still don’t think enough of America has woken up yet. The truth will be in the results of the midterm election, assuming it’s not a rigged election again. There is no reason the republican party could not have a super majority in both the House and Senate (60%) IF Americans are truly waking up to the greed and corruption and the need for change. If we’re back to a 51/49 senate that will prove exactly where we are as a country, how controlled the game still is, and how much work is ahead of us to truly “Drain the Swamp”…

I agree that the situation is tenuous. I think a lot of sheep have awakened...but where? Waking up in Texas (or anywhere!) is a good thing, but will it really move the political dial? If we cannot make real and lasting progress in the "swing" (rigged?) states, we will remain where we are and will be unable to effect meaningful change. I believe your suggestion of a 51-49 Senate is likely - but not a governing majority because of defections. Even a super-majority would be shaky. We need nothing short of a political earthquake to be able to even start to dismantle the corporate-welfare state. I personally am pessimistic about those odds.
