I suffered from PF many years ago and was friends with a physical therapist. She gave me all of the usual recommendations for treating it and nothing worked for more than a day or two. At some point, I ran across a website for a PT clinic that recommended the ROTATIONAL HAMSTRING STRETCH. I began doing a set of 25 on each leg 3x a day. After a couple of weeks, the pain was almost gone. I found I could gradually begin reducing the number of times per day and then the number of times per week that I did the stretches, until I just needed them when I noticed a slight telltale pain. After a few months, I didn't really need them at all, but had discovered that they kept the little annoying back and neck pains away as well. Here is a link to a description of that stretch and others, but really, I think the hamstring stretch on its own will do it if you want to keep things simple. This was a miracle cure for me! http://accurateclinic.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Accurate-Clinic-Plantar-Fasciitis-Exercises-10-4-2011.pdf Edit for more info: https://runnersconnect.net/hamstrings-plantar-fascia-injuries/ TLDR: "In fact, after controlling for other variables, like BMI and calf tightness, the study demonstrated that having tight hamstrings made you nearly nine times as likely to suffer from plantar fasciitis."
saved. Thanks!
Hope it helps!
