You've seen life through distorted eyes You know you had to learn The execution of your mind You really had to turn The race is run the book is read The end begins to show The truth is out, the lies are old But you don't want to know
Nobody will ever let you know When you ask the reasons why They just tell you that you're on your own Fill your head all full of lies
The people who have crippled you You want to see them burn The gates of life have closed on you And now there's just no return You're wishing that the hands of doom Could take your mind away And you don't care if you don't see again The light of day
Nobody will ever let you know When you ask the reasons why They just tell you that you're on your own Fill your head all full of lies You bastards
Where can you run to What more can you do No more tomorrow Life is killing you Dreams turn to nightmares Heaven turns to hell Burned out confusion Nothing more to tell, yeah
Everything around you What's it coming to God knows as your dog knows Bog blast all of you Sabbath bloody Sabbath Nothing more to do Living just for dying Dying just for you, yeah
I'm not worried about drugs and sex and rock and roll. I'm talking about lyrics that expose the real evil people in the world, not the merely self-indulgent. I stand by what i said. War Pigs? Come on.
Yeah you said “Heavy Metal in particular has a main theme of vengeance upon the wicked. No doubt that is why the industry hated it.”
Then you said you don’t count a large genre of metal that does the exact opposite (so that you can make your point). Your point is that there was a Christian in sabbath and their lyrics resemble that in some songs. You’re arguing about black sabbath. I’m arguing about metal. Which was the original topic.
This is getting annoying. I'm talking about classic Heavy Metal. I don't count those subgenres of "metal" (you can't call extreme metal straight Heavy Metal or no one would no what you are talking about) as proper Heavy Metal because it is not the same. All I do is study music and play. You are not going to win an argument with me about it. You say Sabbath was hated in the beginning, well so was Rock and Roll in the 50's. They were also loved and they stuck around for a good little while with some success.
No, I never said sabbath was hated in the beginning. That was someone else about a different topic. You’re right, this is annoying, but because you’re having a difficult time
