I just finished a 700 page study on Genesis, a two volume 1300 page study of the Minor Prophets and just started 600 pages of Exodus. To begin to describe that vast riches that God has placed in the Old Testament, which you can only discover by learning them.
That's cool, Paul called all his religious learning dung, compared to the excellence of the knowledge of Christ.
Paul was a Pharisee before he was saved, he spent his time killing Christians. This would be the "religious learning" that he referenced. The knowledge of Jesus Christ were the words spoken to him by Jesus Christ. That he wrote down and gave to us.
All of this is in the Bible you just have to read it.
Bible knowledge is fine, I've read it enough to be able to tell when a yeacher is teaching the letter or the Spirit. I still check every verse we converse about. My point was the verse of the day had no spiritual application, it just said if you follow the law with no context. The context of "if" was the verse that proceded it, verse 9.
Deuteronomy 30:9 And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
