…said his son is doing good and that he’s stationed in Cuba 😳. Trying to hide my giddiness I say “ Guantánamo” he says “yes”. I say “I hear they are expanding down there” he says “there’s a lot going on down there,” with a grin. He told me when he try’s to talk to his son about it, he just says “I can’t talk about it Dad, you’ll just have to wait until we can”. I know it’s not much, but I have survived on a lot less hopium than this! NCSWIC

When I was in the Navy (until 2010), some of my shipmates took Gtmo orders. Back then, we all knew what was going on down there, and they were allowed to openly talk about their new orders. Meaning: today is different, and that operation has changed to something secret... from the sound of it, something secret that will eventually be revealed publicly. Thank you for relaying your account, anon. It really does bring a little positive outlook.
