My dad came over just when I started to watch, I gave up my seat so he could see it. He was a lifer in the AF, currently 92 y/o, started out as an aircraft mechanic, and promoted beyond that. I was tickled as he watched and his head moved as the plane did. My dad never worked on those planes but he did work on the B-52's, KC 135's, etc. There were family/civilian days back then, way back then, and the one plane that always stopped me in my tracks as a midget kid and made me take a deep breath was the B-52, and to this day I'm still in awe at the potential power that can be unleashed by this beautiful beast.
Honestly, the most beautifully powerful thing I've ever seen. I assume technology has surpassed or improved as the years have passed but if you know this brute has you keyed in, stick a fork in it as you're toast.
