Nvidia's primary fabs are in China and Taiwan. AIBs also have most of their parts manufactured in China and Taiwan as well, and this would all seriously hamper the launch of the 4000 series if their stockpiling is still all in Taiwan.

Further to the point, this comes on the tail of the 3K series having a major inventory drop all at once out of nowhere, despite there being a "shortage" (re: Nvidia shoving GPUs in warehouses again like they did before to make it seem scarcer so people will buy them at the prices they keep raising them to).

So if something is negatively affecting the 4K series after they decided to finally dump the stock of 3Ks on the market, that could hit Nvidia hard.

But also she could be taking a loss now knowing Nvidia stocks may drop, only to buy them again cheaper for when they inevitably rise again.

Problem with Nvidia is, they're not going anywhere. There's no reason to ever assume that their business will die, as their competition only comes from AMD (in reality) and Windows still performs better overall on Nvidia and Intel parts, despite the performance of the parts being fairly close in many instances.

Taiwan does, a lot of it. Possibly... most of it.
