First of all… Governor Abbet should be stopping people from entering our country at the border. But he’s done nothing about that. He’s a weak and feckless Governor. Just because he sending a bunch of people to Washington DC, does not make him a great governor. It just means he’s taking people who’ve invaded our country, and sending them to another state. The fact that people are praising him for this, is ridiculousness. We’ve gotten to the point in society, that we praise our governor, for allowing people to enter our country illegally, and then paying money to ship them to another state, and then we all clap! Does anybody see how stupid this is. The only thing I can agree on, is that it’s better for them to be shipped to blue states, or rather blue cities. They want them to all come across the border and be stuck in Arizona and Texas and California. They don’t wanna take them into their own states. But if they have to be here, which I don’t agree that they do have to be here, by all means, ship them to Washington DC. But to be perfectly honest, this is nothing to be excited about. They should be shipped back home. End of story. For every dollar we spend on them carting them around our country, giving them hotel rooms, giving them food cards, and cash cards, it’s taxes that we are losing out on To support our own infrastructure. Seriously folks… If we spent even half the money that were spending on immigration, and illegal aliens, and spent it on our veterans, we would not have one homeless veteran. Not one. But muh Abbott - please clap!
To answer your question, my Governor, Doug Ducey, is a feckless horrible governor. Our only hope for 2024 is having Kari Lake become our new governor. So that’s who I will be voting for.
ME?
I have personally signed up to work on reporting the numbers in a specific county in my state next week. I feel one of the huge problems we had regarding the election, was the reporting of the numbers. I’m doing what small part that I can, in my own county, to ensure that that information is correct.
This is on the heels of having reconstructive foot surgery, with six weeks nonweightbearing. I can barely walk, but that’s not gonna keep me from doing what I can.
In addition, becoming more involved in your community, and city elections are important as well. Studying who is running for what office, and who you should really be voting for. Not just checking a box. I’ve also spent time checking up on my sheriff! We need good sheriffs, and ours is based. There are many other things that I am trying to be a part of, but I’m not going to list them all.
Everything that happens regarding our communities, our cities, our mayors, our counties, and our states - relies solely on people getting involved locally. Without a solid infrastructure moving forward, it won’t matter if a republican gets in the office in 2024, because they would be a lame duck. Everyone, according to their ability, should be doing what they can to rebuild America from the foundation up.
I’m hoping in the future, you and I can both boast about what great governors we have. Although I’m not a big fan of Abbott, he sure would be a lot better than Beto. I don’t live in Texas, so what I think about your governor is of no consequence. I just wish he would secure our border. Period. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. But the same goes for Ducey.
Yes it will. And I hope we can all work together to make it happen. I do have family that lives in the Austin area, so I have somewhat of a vested interest. They are all Christians, love the Lord, are based patriots, hard-working people. These are the people in the family that were praying for me, when I was not a Christian. Good solid people.!
Says she's worried about 4,000 people. That's a drop in the hat. She needs 100 times that to start feeling like the southern border states feel. Let it be so! All those politicians in their ivory towers need to experience what actual, real Americans experience. Now.
Stopped reading after the first paragraph. They are ILLEGAL ALIENS…not migrants.

And what has your governor,or better yet, what have YOU done to help? Flapping your jaws does nothing.

It will take all of us to right this ship.

I had to leave Austin 12 years ago, the writing was boldly on the wall.
