We'll probably see 200-300 year lifespans in this century if "end" times truly are near

Genesis 6:3 and the 120 years in relevant. Is it a general rule or a indicator of lifespan or the time until the flood? Though some after the flood like Abraham surpassed 120 years, 120 became the upper bound of lifespan.
