I have an important question. If Joe Biden has Covid and it is within the realm of possibilities that he could die, then the vice president is next in line after that it’s a Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi so why would you risk the third in line to go on a trip but could possibly get her killed?

If the VP resigns, then the President can appoint a new VP such as Nixon did when Spiro Agnew resigned. Nixon appointed Gerald Ford to be VP.

My husband just reminded me of this. Can't remember if Congress had to approve this.
