At this point, I don't know if DeSantis is truly trustworthy, but he's looking better and better every day. The other thing I've noticed is that with Trump there's always an air of showmanship, as well as bluff and bluster, but DeSantis seems to just say what he thinks. If it ever gets to a debate between those two, the difference could be a stark contrast.

In Saginaw county we had 15 people vote in the 2020 election who were over 115 years old, with the oldest being 144 yrs old. She would remember Rutherford B Hayes as president! So I say, once you hit 110 you can't vote absentee, you must show up up to vote.

When people see someone who comes forward with more detailed plans that align with our ideals, they're going to tend to support them over the woman who comes up on stage, acts clueless, and says "but cut taxes tho"
If two people state the exact same goals, I would support the one who states those goals alongside a plan to implement them, with greater elaboration about why these goals are important.
People are also a bit gunshy with women in positions of power in Michigan right now, due to the three witches throttling the state.
