“Think before sharing” - Orwell’s “double-think” comes to mind.
Doesn't double-think refer to believing two contradictory positions at the same time?
Also, thinking twice is fine and usually reduces the chance for mistakes. Measure twice, cut once. Make sure what you're going to post is legit (by using your own brain, to be clear, not running to MSM to tell you if it's true) so you likely wont have to take it back or clarify anything you might have gotten wrong had you not verified.
Then again, sometimes just posting it is better so you can get multiple eyes on it to help verify.
My understanding of “double-think” is that when an idea occurs to you, you stop to think about whether it aligns with the government’s stated “correct thinking” before you fully entertain the thought or express it. If it conflicts with what the government has told you, you suppress/change your idea.
