How bad is vaping?

Cigarettes had their claws in me for years, but the vapes have helped. How bad are they?

What about if you vape indoors? Does it damage stuff like cigs do?

Ex smoker of 20 years and vape is the only reason I was able to quit the smokes. Nicotine is not cancer causing and actually has some known benefits. All the other crap in the smokes are what cause the lung and mouth issues. I have been on the vape for 8 years and never felt better. This is not my opinion. This came from my family doctor.
