You can bet that if this trade occurs, there will many unhappy Americans based on her/his bad mouthing the U.S. and being stupid enough to take drugs into a foreign country. I do not advocate leaving Americans behind, but both of the Americans were downright stupid by bringing drugs in. Selfishness is the common trait here. If the trade occurs, they should serve their time in prison here at home anyhow, not given a pass. Then they should have to compensate the U.S. for the time, trouble and expense of extricating them by military service or lengthy community service, as well as financial restitution. Strict punishment is the only way that people may ever change their behaviors. Also if the U.S. does accomplish the trade and gives a pass for the crime, I hope her team does not let her play again and her career is over. Some punishment needs to be meted out.
