The entire Old Testament is a prophecy of Christ and His Kingdom. Even the historical versus are there simply to verify the facts of the prophecies. Animal sacrifices were types that foretold of our coming spiritual sacrifices.
That's why it's so important to take the words of God literally, so that the prophecies are revealed (aka the Revelation.) King David, Joseph and Moses, all types of Jesus Christ, were real people, that led the Jews out of bondage and into the promised Land. They all point to us being physically led out of the bondage of evil and into the promise land of eternal Paradise.
The Revelation of Jesus is the unveiling of Jesus in you, it is 100% a spiritual reality. The types are the OT physical realities, the New Testament is being born again, born of Spirit, and is a spiritual reality in each man of flesh. Jesus 100% conquers the Babylon in us, humiliates it, kicks it out of His kingdom, and brings the New Jerusalem to our world all in Spirit. You are a living stone in the building of God because you have Christ in you lording over His church!
This is a 100% physical reality, the pain and the suffering is not spiritual. Don't take this the wrong way but it's goofy to think anything else.
