I love reading this guy. But I get a bit irritated at how he acts like this is Obama's weaponized deep state. Ya, all the stuff he details about Obama is accurate. But the only reason it is Obama's is because Bush/Cheney couldn't run for another 2 terms. It is as if he gives them a pass on this like it was never their intention to unleash such a leviathan. That is such bullshit.
Another interesting use of words "Obama was installed." What is he saying? Obama didn't win in 08/12?
No Name was a corrupt asshat. What was wrong with letting No Name take the reins in 2008?
And acting like Mitch McConnell was just a bumbling buffoon that had his own issues which compromised him to the extent that he had no other choice but to bow down to these fools is also naive. He's one of them. Or he wouldn't still be here.

That doesn't sound like Bush/Cheney intended this. Obama and Holder viewed them as new opportunities to use on political opposition. I read this as plainly attributing this to Obama and Holder.

If by engineers behind Obama, he meant Bush/Cheney, he could have easily said that.

The ODNI was created specifically upon the recommendation of the 9/11 commission."
Oh, so Bush did this to solve a real problem? This is exactly what they told us, but if you understand how the FISA court worked prior to the Patriot Act, none of what was in the Patriot Act actually did anything to "fix" anything. What it did was alter the "foreign intelligence collecting" requirement for a warrant, and changed it to "substantial purpose is foreign intelligence collecting" which is a grotesque expansion of the domestic spying capabilities. These asshats told us that agencies were structured in a dysfunctional way and that was what we had to fix because it hindered the prevention of 9-11. This is bullshit. The hindrance was that the CIA could not spy in the USA. Which had no effect on whether the CIA could provide the FBI with a heads up on what they located outside of the USA. Instead, we now let the CIA piggyback off the FBI and spy on us. And we call it "foreign intelligence surveillance." The original FISA structure had basically set up a wall to prevent warrantless surveillance of American citizens. How that got in the way of detecting and monitoring foreign adversaries on our soil is still a yet to be explained mystery by these goons.
I could go on and on. This article is "Obama this, Holder that, Pelosi/Reid did X. Then Obama did this." And so on ad infinitum. Or ad nauseam as I feel right now reading it. Maybe reasonable people can disagree; but this is a white washing of Bush/Cheney to me.
