I don't think VDH was saying we are not a republic but a democracy. He was saying there is a democratic process used in this republic.

We arr currently a tyranny. They like the democracy crap because it validates their control. Our senators and reps are supposed to REPRESENT us, not make their own decisions for us. We lost our republic many, many years ago.
