100% yes. A burned patient gets wrapped in burn towels or blankets and onto a stretcher. Gurney/stretcher is designed for a pt to lay on their back. Their is buckles(seat belts) to keep them attached to gurney in case of an accident. Do you drive your car laying on your side?
There is occasional instances where a pt would by laid on their side.. but for an accident and burn victim.. I will put them on their back
We do not seal anyone up. Depending on burns to the mouth, tongue and esophagus/trachea.. patient would need intubation. A non rebreather mask should have been administered.
Yes, hard to say from the video. A lot of it is dependent on variables we are not aware of. It would be interesting to see the Company Officers PCR. It could be that at the time he "stats" we in the good range, or that they were going to address those issues in the back of the ambulance and while enroute to the med center. Some patients do not tolerate a NRB mask... it could be the medic determined it was not a benefit if it was agitating the patient.

If there is smoke inhalation do they still seal her up?

Hard to say from vid, but does it seems proper ventilation was not considered or that breathing was not addressed?
