I’m pretty sure the reason he said this is because Truth Social is getting overrun with bots, trolls and scammers posting screenshots of statements supposedly made by Trump. He wanted to clear the air on this without putting a negative light on Telegram. There are a lot of new people on Truth that aren’t as experienced at discerning these kinds of things on their own.
