My mom worked in a warehouse for a very short while when the ports being backed up was just breaking into the news. She did practically nothing all day because there weren't any packages coming through.

Union job, almost 20 bucks an hour. Could not believe it when she quit, but she absolutely couldn't take the lack of work.
