Ok... I am unvacced as is my wife. We caught COVID in 2/2021. It wore us out, drained us for a couple of weeks. I am in a job where I am near a lot of people and am in my late 50's in reasonably good health wife in a few years younger and also in good health. I told my wife I did not trust an untested vac. She was skeptical to say the least, but followed my lead. I have bad allergies and had been very susceptible to sinus infections and would get two or three a year. The wife would get one or two. After COVID we continued with zinc and extra vitamin D and C. Neither one of us had any problems with any illness since. Then last week I got COVID again and my wife picked it up from me a few days later. It has kicked my tail and is really affecting my wife. Can quercetin help. The dr. prescribed only steroids and antibiotics we have both finished our runs of these and are still filling trashed from it

I don't know if I completely understand the mechanism by which someone can catch the 'Vid twice, but I do think you've probably gotten walloped by something nasty. I also get sinus infections fairly regularly (once a year or so), so I take an OTC allergy pill to help with that (store brand Xyzal, a levocetirizine).
Here's what I have for vitamins, which I take daily: Vit C, D3, NAC, Quercetin, Zinc, and Olive Leaf Extract (free radical scavenger). I also have quinine and magnesium potassium aspartate, which I take every once in a while. I also have the horse paste, which I take prophylactically every now and again (as appropriate & with proper dosing) which kicks any sign of sniffles.
Quercetin is awesome because it helps the body absorb the Zinc (Quinine does this, too). Without these "Zinc Ionophores" the body struggles to absorb Zinc fully. u/raver9876 is right: Quercetin is considered an herbal supplement and is not a dangerous drug by any means. You can find it at a Vitamin Shoppe store, and it should be stocked at your local natural food mart.
I've heard gargle-rinses can help remove a lot of viral replication, too, since this kind of virus (or whatever it is) seems to hang out in the nose and throat. I haven't done this, but I don't see why it wouldn't be worth a try.
I hope you and the missus feel better soon!
