Guess we need to stock up our freezers with beef, vegs & fruit (or do canning), and our pantries with can goods, rice, flour, sugar & pasta. If you haven't already. And start your own gardens if you haven't already. I did this year, though I've never grown any vegs before, so didn't do as well as I was hoping to, but happy that the plant did grow, they just didn't really produce or when they did the vegs died before they were ready. Still have some learning to do.
I was looking into canning, but we have a glass stove top and I've read you can't use that type of stove top because it can break it. A friend of mine has been working like crazy canning everything she can either grow, or can get her hands on. She got chickens and they are starting to give her eggs. She is on her own property in the county with no neighborhood restrictions like I have about livestock, though I am in the county not city limits.
There is truth in the article, I think some of that is blown out of proportion. Another factor is the decreasing parts supply, which could be very troubling going into next year.
Yeah those droughts are all man made. You can thank the EPA. Another worthless agency

Get a propane burner.
