From your singular perspective that's how you feel but think about the people who consider themselves "elite". Meaning, most academics, professionals, doctors, lawyers, actors, etc. Their ego is like the Hindenburg compared to most people's birthday balloon. They float high above the rest of the mortals, they have a better view of the landscape, they read the NYT and watch PBS. They and their friends have season tickets to the opera, vacation beach homes in the Hamptons, on Nantucket. You mere deplorable think you can red pill them? They chuckle at the absurdity. Their ivory towers are so lofty that they only deal with others in lofty towers 1000 ft. up. We are earthworms to them. Who are you to challenge their world view?
I say it's impossible to redpill these people. Their echo chamber is welded shut to where your words will never reach them. Perhaps something on the order of a nuclear bomb might, like Fauci getting arrested and charged with mass murder. Maybe if they wake up and discover martial law has been declared and a large number of their own were arrested in the middle of the night. That's the order of magnitude of what must occur to get their attention but not yet change their minds. No, that comes if the hospital they worked at was closed, their university was closed and ringed with troops, their own personal bank and stock accounts frozen. Now you're getting somewhere. Their NYT or WaPo wasn't delivered, their news channels are only broadcasting EBS coverage of mass arrests. This is the level of trauma they must personally experience before the formulate the words, "what's going on?"
Very true. Speaking of my own personal experience, I have interacted with dozens of what I refer to as elites whose brains are closed. They have certain traits in common. They consider academic credentials as the epitome of intelligence and intellect. It then follows that anyone with a substantial list of letters after their name and curriculum vitae that contain the famed Ivy League schools it becomes their cultural currency. They trust and believe those most like themselves. It's a way of confirming their own status while affirming others in their circle. The problem comes when this behavior is so ingrained that there could be no truth other than their own. It's simply not possible. When you mix in the major sources of their news which again affirms them with mentions in the society pages, large articles on their weddings, etc. it's a cultural firewall against intrusion by those less notable and that means less knowledgeable.
You are correct that there's a steady drip, drip, drip working against their granite exteriors but it's not taken seriously. At least not yet. If however enough of them start to drop over with myocarditis or develop neurological deficits out of the clear blue, they might question the cause and be inquisitive enough to allow a contrary thought but again, it would need to be the personal equivalent to a nuclear explosion to open their eyes, ears and brains. Anything less is hand waved away as conspiracy theory.
This is not limited to the top 1% in the wealth category but includes the wannabes who are part of the fast trackers. They want what those above them have and can't be bothered with anything that diverts their attention from cultural ascendency. They are the next generation of progressives who believe in a big system approach that brings them insulated advancement if they do precisely as instructed. A counter-narrative would rock the boat and they will have none of it. For them, they'd take a dozen jabs if that's the prevailing wisdom of those on the ladder rungs above them. That sturdy ladder would have to break in order for them to wake up. Again, a nuclear event.
