Went to make a deposit to First Citizens Bank two days ago. The amount was less than $500. The tell asked for my ID. I got pretty loud and asked what she needed it for. She stated they are now required to document every single cash deposit.
I believe it's time to stop using banks. Hmmm I wonder what those new 87,000 IRS agents will be up to...
I use the atm.
I am actually curious about people who do go into the bank nowadays. I haven't needed to speak to a teller in ages ( i think I was closing on my house and needed a cashier's check). What's going on in there?
Notarizations, opening new accounts or closing out accounts.
I go inside a bank weekly to cash or deposit a check from helping my Grama with chores, there’s nothing sketch and they haven’t asked me to do anything strange or out of the ordinary.
But why must you do that inside the bank? Just curious.
Because they changed ALL the outside tellers to automatic ATMs. I like having cash on hand and to cash my check takes 10 more steps than just waking in and cashing it with a human. I found out quickly how much I hate the new installs lol
