HBO canceled like three dozen shows as a tax write off. And I don't just mean they're not producing anymore episodes, they're scrubbing them completely. No streaming, no DVD sales, nothing. The only way to watch then is via piracy.
This is why owning physical media is vital. Content can be removed for any arbitrary reason, and even piracy isn't garunteed to be forever.
The show is actually beautifully drawn and animated. There is probably still value to be extracted from it for content creators to keep a copy of it in their archives. And yes, the writing is horrible propaganda.
I took the news of this to finally check out that Infinty Train show that's been hyped so much. Pretty darn good, kind of a bummer that it's legally been erased from existence, all because of a line item on some accounting spreadsheet.
The main writer of Infinity Train has extreme TDS. And by the third season the show is full of woke garbage.
I watched the first episode of Aquaman: King of Atlantis. That show is gorgeously animated. I wonder why it is being removed?
I haven't noticed any woke garbage, beyond the surface level "black female =good, white male = bad" examination. The third season was about a borderline sociopath who started a quasi satanic Lord of the Flies cult that viewed their karmatic prison as a playground where those who do the most bad deeds are held in the highest esteem. She gradually came to realize that the figure she worshipped was a false idol, and her maternal instincts taught her to feel empathy. The poor white boy she was manipulating for years was a monster because of her.
Sucks to hear the creator has TDS, though.
Yeah. I'm kinda sore that they cancelled that Batman: Caped Crusader animated series before it even saw the light of day. Meh, guess you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette.
I hardly watch anything so it won't bother me, but yes, some of the shows might be worthwhile.
Ellen?? Not one of them.
