In my neck of the Canadian Woods….our power companies can NOT shut off heat in the winter. It’s against the law.

Many poor people..usually single moms and their kids would freeze.

Can’t remember when the law was changed to enforce this, but it’s a thing up here.

And how long till they amend that law, probably giving government aid under certain conditions and allowing the companies to shut you off if you don't meet them?
