MY STORY- I went to University to play football and become a teacher. Graduated and everything. I was not taught anything about money, credit or finance. During my 5 years I could go down to financial aid office and get as much money as I thought I needed at the time. It was almost easier than buying a cheeseburger at McDonalds. The financial aid person would always encourage the max amount each time. My foresight and world view was rather small at the time. Once I graduated I realized my error in accepting government loans and help. It drove me to becoming a libertarian. The promise of lucrative jobs and the idea that one must attend college to be successful was driven into my brain. I was my families first college grad. But then I got my first job. It took half my pay. It was a nightmare. I'm not one for handouts or freebies. My point is that many of us students were duped, manipulated and lied to. I didn't have guidance or help in traversing these obstacles. I felt like it was criminal in how they handled me and my fellow students. I have carried the burden of debt every where in life. It has led to a divorce, depression, and other the non ability to obtain any credit. My point is that I feel that it is better to spend tax payer money here in the US as opposed to elsewhere. I didn't ask for debt forgiveness. I don't agree with it and feel bad for people who did the right thing. Had parents to help them. I don't know if any of my 60k (now 120k) debt will be relieved, but It would lift a huge burden off me and mine. I appreciate 🙏 all your opinions and am Ultra MAGA because of the liberal shitstorms I've endured. Public University being the biggest. God Bless. We will win.
