I'm always amazed at how often "confessing to priests" and "praying to Mary" are used as proofs. It's like every Protestant (root word: 'Protest') read the same pamphlet.
[21] He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you. [22] When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost. [23] Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained. John 20:21-23
and
[16] Confess therefore your sins one to another: and pray one for another, that you may be saved. For the continual prayer of a just man availeth much."
The priest as confessor is doing the will of God, through the Holy Spirit.
As for Mary - we pray for her INTERCESSION. Just like we ask people here to pray for us, we ask Mary to pray FOR us.
I encourage you to watch this. This is what happens when the Holy Spirit goes to work. You can watch the whole thing or skip to the 30 minute mark for the fire of God. Most church’s, Catholic or Protestant don’t see this because they use religion to try to control God. This video is the book of Acts come to life. I’m curious to see what you think of this.

Thank you. Here you can see the biblical references for the "false" teachings, as well as other fallacies of the Protestants, such as "Sola scriptura"
