CDC has admitted nothing here. This is fake news out of a notoriously terrible site (Naturalnews) citing an MSN article which also doesn't actually cite any meaningful data.
CDC has been consistent with it's statements on the safety and efficacy of the vaccines. It believes they work and people benefit. They have acknowledged the virus mutates, which necessitates getting boosters. They have not properly acknowledged natural immunity as an alternative to vaccination and maintain that vaccination (with plenty of boosters) is the appropriate course. Recall that they changed the definition of a vaccine so they could keep repeating the mantra.
At no point has CDC stepped back on vaccines. The MSN article specifically is highlighting them pushing yet more boosters. You're going to get a new one on the market soon, and be advised to take it.
Edit: Did a little searching and FDA authorized the omicron boosters from both mRNA companies today. Gird your loins and guard the kids.
