This is an interesting theory. Like a lot of theories, it is simply a thought to be considered. In order for this to work, scientists would have to elucidate a biochemical basis for the soul, and then block it. I'm certain there is no serious research anywhere being done into such a thing because the donors themselves who fund the research don't believe in the spiritual.

I think more to the point, they've decided to stoke fear of disease, and then position themselves as the providers for their safety and security with vaccines and modern medicine. Create a crisis, then position yourself as the savior. You gain control, get rich, and don't have to ever bother with trying to block a soul. You control the vessel in which the soul belongs.
