Not really on to anything more than life itself. Every person finds it easier to understand and learn things they are interested in or have a passion for. For some its music, some cars, some technology. It could be anything. What we have with our autists is they are driving by knowing. Truly "knowing" the world around them.
The "normies" are usually people that for one reason or another never hold on to one thing for too long to be that interested. Or simply prefer to experience a wide range of things rather than get that deep into one thing. Which seems to be increasingly predominant with the rise in "things" to be interested in. There is just too many things for them to stop and look at for them to stay on one thing for too long.
There are also people who actually cannot get into one thing too.much. Usually have grown up never havi g anything or always losing what they have or at least precieving it that way. So they end up feeling like they cant really waste their time having a true passion for something because they expect it to get taken away.
that all rings true. for me especially the last part.
