WHAT DOES EVERYONE PAY FOR PROPERTY TAXES IN THEIR STATE? I've listed mine below. We're in DELAWARE!
I'm in lower Delaware (beach area) now for over 10 years. We moved from Annapolis, MD. Our property taxes on a 1/2 acre w/home in MD were over $10k when we moved. Here in lower Delaware our taxes on 1 acre w/4900 sq ft home is only $2,100. And we get a $400 credit on our tax return each year as seniors (we are young seniors!)
And we have no sales tax. Fast food, groceries, merchandise, restaurant meals, gas, etc.!
West Central TX in a city over 100,000 1 acre 1650 sq ft. $3200 a year. No income tax. Property tax along with income tax needs to be eliminated. State sales taxes should be enacted based on population and miles of highways. Public school system eliminated and small home schools allowed to flourish.
That’s where you need to be in TX for low taxes. Get nearer a bigger city where values are spiking and you can end up with 3 acres and 3200 sq ft and be paying $20,000 in taxes.
Agreed
Yes! And tax credits for home school! State/County/Local accredited home school curriculum guidelines. Like Trump says, The money should follow the child/student!
Think about how that would get rid of the bureaucratic swap educational system! Allow the parents in their local/counties to set the curriculum and allow the state to subsidize/fund those alternative educational systems. Pro-active agenda instead of re-active educational dictatorship!
