I was blessed to have graduated in 1980 so I was not subjected to this shit. We did have our own version of it though. The United Natuons ha da reading program called SRA (Scolastic reading Achievement ) I think it stood for.
System of color coded reading cards that you were supposed to work through. Anyone remember those.
That's the reading system. That taught me about polygamy in sixth grade. The cards made a big deal about it and other weird stuff.b
