I'm currently on holiday in Italy, where the news is 90% about one topic: the price of Energy and Gas.. In Europe, this crisis is the only topic, and its creating huge political shifts. Italy's elections have this as practically the only concern.
Energy bills for some businesses here are approaching 1million EUR per MONTH and many companies are claiming their operating costs will force them to close if nothing is done. Unfortunately for Europe, Russia has closed the gas pipeline, and as Trump predicted, Europe is wholly dependent on Russia for Gas and oil now.
Meanwhile, PJW has reported an interesting update a few days ago regarding the Ukraine: https://youtu.be/rexlF27PmyQ. Now while Paul focuses on UK as being scammed, it was just the UK that was conned by BoJo and his war prolonging business trip. Couple this with the GUR failed attempt at taking the IAEA hostage at the nuke plant in the Ukraine (reported here on GAW: https://greatawakening.win/p/15JTpCNVDl/the-news-from-ukrainerussia-has-/), the UK has been playing a dangerous game that seems to have an end objective of destabilising all of Europe.
In other news, Germany is still decommissioning all its nuke plants because "climate change" and "risks" seen as a result of Fukushima. However, France is going to do the opposite it appears. Any Germans protesting the prices and whatnot are being branded as "enemies of the state". Similar issues are happening in Serbia, and i wouldn't be surprised if most people started taking to the streets again over rising bills.
Okay, the world is losing its s#ÂŁt over energy costs, but what made this spike happen at all?
The root cause of this crisis isnt the Ukraine war. It isn't a lack of fuel sources, or technology fails, or even supply chain issues. Its government policies on the environment driving all of the madness.
- The UK and Europe has huge access to a huge oil and gas reserve in the North sea. Climate policies have driven both to move to wind power building rather than tapping these reserves.
- fracking globally has been largely abandoned despite being a huge potential supply source for gas
- renewable energy is low input compared to nuclear or traditional fuel sources, however the governments in the UK and Europe have committed to reducing their use of carbon fuels.
Once society realises the impact of climate policies on their day to day lives are not sustainable along side living as they do, they will push back.
The Ukraine war has simply driven all of this to a point well in advance of the 10+ year shift that was originally necessary. Russia has cut supplies to Europe now, and China is selling Russian supplies they bought recently at a premium to sell bavk to the UK and Europe. That wouldnt have mattered if they had their own supplies of gas and power, but thanks to energy policies that option is no longer on the table.
Some things are changing already
Some nations are already protesting, but bigger shifts are happening now too. Buried in among this Unpopular Opinions episode by Academic Agent is a discussion on blackrock and how it actually is starting to U-turn on its ESG climate work due to it having too many open risks on operating costs. SJW nonsense is losing its ability to sway discussions, and people are moving cloaer to not caring about being enemies of the state. Those now awake are all seeing the state in these areas as the enemy of the people, not the representative of it.
Conclusion
The world is appearing like its heading to a dystopic future, but its still turning and still moving. Id say its moving the right way for now. These issues had to be seen and felt for people's minds to let go of stupid policies that will kill millions due to negligence and malice. They still might do, but i for one will be surviving the coming crisis of crazy state bollocks and will do so as a winner, not a slave.
Wow how things have changed in 70 years.
In WWII the Allies, meaning Europe (except for Italy) joined forces with USSR and USA to defeat the Nazis. Now all of Europe is banding together with the Nazis (Ukraine) to fight Russia. Biden wants the US to 'feel your pain' as well, since he has done his best to destroy US energy production.
President Trump told Germany and Europe they were going to get clobbered and they laughed at him. Who is laughing now?? If only the leaders of those countries put the interests of their own country first, none of this would be happening. A visionary leader would have had multiple supplies of energy in case one source was compromised, but NO, they put all their eggs in one Russian basket and they will be very cold this winter. This winter will be colder than any in the last 50 years. Buy some blankets!!
Where are you getting this coldest in 50 years business? I am calling BS.
Or at least, buy stock in the companies that make blankets in Europe.
