Going from the quote in the topic title... I know the prequel trilogy gets flak, but they're my favorite part of the series. The Devil manipulates those in power and engineers both sides of a fake, forced war to seize absolute power himself, and the galaxy largely sheeps full speed ahead. The whole time, almost all of them buy his propaganda against the largely placated and corrupted spiritual good guys who wake up to try and stop him, albeit too late. Then as oppression sets in, many hate it but only a comparative few are brave enough to do anything about it.
Their efforts would be futile if not for someone who rediscovers spiritual truths now both forgotten and illegal. Then The Devil is overcome by fatherly love for a son who tried to pay the price, and Star Wars ends at it's sixth and final episode.
the prequel trilogy is a direct historical re-enactment of how the roman republic became the roman empire, with the (D)jedi being spiritual masters from Egypt. In episode 3 anakin and Okin wan literally fight on a Djed pillar.
I have fan edits of all three prequels. It took me ages to find edits that didn’t change the story, while at the same time, took out all of the (IMO) cringe-worthy elements and dialog. Here’s the best part: The edits that I chose were called The Q Fan Edits- The Fall of the Jedi kek. No cringe dialog, the droids don’t have any lines, all of the stupid crap completely removed. Episode 2 is actually quite watchable now! One element that I really like is that there is no Sidious appearance in Episode 1 anymore; just Palpatine.
