Internet / phones / TV going offline for a period of time nationwide, one or more days
making it seem like MAGA supporters are being raided and arrested en masse
making it seem like we have been invaded by a foreign country (China, probably)

But honestly maybe COVID was it and it already happened, I'm just throwing out ideas
