I really don’t think it would be that hard to do. It seems like an elephant in the room to ignore it.

The simple answer is we do not possess storage cells that can charge at a rate fast enough to harness lightening. If you can solve that one, you'll be doin us all a favor and probably live well for the rest of your days.
