So much happening so I’m sorry to add a dumb question to the board. But, we need new cell service. I hate to admit but have been a Verizon customer forever; they are pushing 5G plans only. I refuse; my phone is old. What’s the best solution? I’d by a burner phone but spouse can’t do that for work. Anyone have advice?

I bought a flip phone, 2G the other week. The only provider in the GTA that will accommodate 2G is Rogers.
Thank you!
Metro (now by TMobil) 4G 30.00 mo....that's it. Tax and all. Unlimited but data is not. At home use your wifi and it won't count.
Just 30.00 mo. but go to a metro outlet.
Thank you! All comments are very helpful!
You can use a network that supports 5G and not use the 5G bands for communication.
Most phones will allow you to choose in the settings (3G/4G/5G). If you want to go the extra mile buy a phone that is not 5G capable like the 2020 iphone SE as an example
Burner phones are for when you want to conceal your identity and do not want your name associated with the activity conducted on the burner phone.
Thank you!
Republic Wireless is $15 per line w/ 1gig data but unlimited wifi data. Add a gig of data on the fly for $5 bucks if needed but in 7 years only needed to add data for wife 3 times. Moto G phones are under $200. No contracts or hassles. You can use your existing phones when they send you a SIM card.
Thank you! Lots of good suggestions!!
I still use my note 8 that I bought with sprint years ago on Total wireless (uses Verizon towers). I had to put custom software on mine to make it work.
Most Walmart stores have total wireless phones there, or buy any Verizon supported phone from eBay. you can also buy a phone on Total Wireless's website.
We pay $90/month for unlimited everything for 3 lines.
Wow! We pay 200 for 4 lines Thanks!
