t38s are always in the air around AFB's, afaik. being training aircraft, they're used for training.
not sure how much live fire is used with trainers.
None. Zero. They are trainers. Sauce: AF fighter pilot/ pilot instructor hubby. "No weapon capacity. "
Good thought, though, OP
Ty. I had a brother in law that trained in them. From what I gathered from him, they are jet trainers, not weapons, or live fire aircraft
They always pepper the sky around afb's, so they are more like noise on adsbexchange.com for me.
I've quizzed hubby a few times on this and he has said, emphatically, there is no where to put any weapons on this trainer.
groovy, thx for the confirmation, i had a little knowledge of the aircraft, but was a little fuzzy on the specifics.
it was the squawking i found interesting and now it's not squawking 4712....
i've been observing same plane and it turned off the squawk near sedalia mo... did a loop south... then turned it back on 4707
