A whole lotta speculating' goin' on here, but it's plausible. One of his key assumptions is that if China sparks an invasion, that Taiwan would only then respond with military action on its western beaches. However, in several things I've read over the years, I believe Taiwan's military is ALREADY on a potential war footing and their "response" would actually be an immediate and devastating strike on China.
Further, I have read that Taiwan has in its stockpile a couple thousand special purpose missiles, dam-busters. If launched en masse at China's fragile dam system (Three Gorges Dam and several others upstream from there), China might defend against quite a few of them, but only a handful needs to make it to target and suddenly China is plunged into floods that could kill millions.
This video portrays Taiwan as a near-powerless small country, when it's highly more likely that they have been preparing for an invasion for years now.
One possible bad news for Taiwan is that all it would take is for one corrupt US politician who has knowledge of their secret locations (I'm looking at you, Hillary, former Sec. of State who kept classified information on her home computer server and who probably sold info to the Chinese) and those sites are no longer secret.
Yep, China has been prepping but Taiwan, too. They must have something under their sleeve non nuclear to make the mainland pay a dear price for invading.
But I still can't see the US not fighting tooth and nail for Taiwan. 92% of all world's advanced chips are made there, so why would they hand this important resource to the Chinese. Can you imagine the Chinese holding the world ransom because of this essential resource.
The old Chinese curse goes, "May you live in interesting times." So it's becoming VERY interesting lately; I just hope the American Republic can survive and be reestablished very soon.
