If the car is on dirt firemen will try to dig a pit if there is heavy equipment nearby (like a backhoe), and push the car in the pit. Then they will fill the pit with water. Takes WAY less water that way.

Beyond stupid. Dig a pit yes, but fill it with the car and excavated earth.
Lithium is a monofuel it doesn't need oxygen for combustion, it reacts violently with water, the only way to put it out is to bury it under sand or earth.
