The local electric company has come to my house twice to ask if they can install the new smart meter. I said no and I've taped their door hanger, written over in black marker that I don't want their meter, to the door. I don't want to have to tell them multiple more times, no. It looks like everyone else in the neighborhood got one as I walk the street and glance around.🤬 It's 100 dollars not to get one and an extra 40 a month added to my bill so someone can read my meter, tfb, they'll have to read it. If I find that they've changed it without my permission, I will surround it as best I can with a makeshift faraday cage. They haven't done that yet.
Talk of being able to shut down cars is actually nothing new.
Back in the 90s with development of OBD-II, there was talk of the next step including transmitters, being able to disable your car if there was a malfunction that increased your emissions.
Finally someone looking at it from 40,000 FT. Nicely done.
That's why I'm a prepper
Why the emphasis on driverless cars? Have you ever heard anyone say they wanted a driverless car? Methinks I smell a globo plot.
Could be wrong but I think he’s talking about electric cars !!!
There’s no difference in outsiders ability to control an EV vs a modern ICE.
They both have the computers (and probably the software) needed for third party shut down.
It was about electric cars. I was just bringing up another issue.
